A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday,
December 14, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Barbara
"Bobbie" Hebert LaCombe, 86, who died December 11, 2016 at her
home in Iota.
Fr. Jude Thierry, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iota will be
officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to
be held Tuesday 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:00
a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m.
Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Born November 13, 1930 in Iota, Bobbie was a graduate of St. Francis
School. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and homemaker. Bobbie
was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iota and also
a member of St. Joseph's Ladies Altar Society and the Catholic
Daughters of America.
She enjoyed cooking and preparing family meals, especially Sunday
dinners, and loved passing down Cajun traditions to her
grandchildren.
Bobbie never met a stranger, loved to visit, and enjoyed her weekly
appointments at the Hair Cuttery in Iota.
She is survived by three children, Charlotte L. McCrory (Mahlon) of
Iota, Eugene LaCombe (Janet) of Iota, and Bradley LaCombe (Linda)
of Crowley; her eight grandchildren, John McCrory (Heather), Myra
M. Broussard (Dustin), Kysha L. Simon (Brandon), Wade LaCombe
(Kendall), Katie L. Primeaux (Ronald), Stuart LaCombe (Regan),
Lauren LaCombe (fiance Joshua Doucet), and Eric LaCombe; and ten
great-grandchildren, Anna, Elizabeth, and Madeline Broussard, Grace,
William, and Maria Simon, Ian and Wyatt LaCombe, Alexis
Primeaux, and Timothy Strickler; one sister, Mildred H. Stroderd; and
one brother, Charles N. Hebert, Sr. of Egan.
Mrs. LaCombe is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years,
Russell "Buck" LaCombe; four miscarried children; her parents, Ed
and Rose Hebert; in-laws, Adam and Della LaCombe; paternal
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Hebert; and maternal
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert LeJeune.
Pallbearer will be John McCrory, Dustin Broussard, Brandon Simon,
Wade LaCombe, Ronald Primeaux, Stuart LaCombe, and Eric
LaCombe. Honorary pallbearer will be Joshua Doucet.
