ONE BODY RECOVERED OF THREE DROWNED IN FLATHEAD LAKE
Kalispell, April 21 - Searchers have recovered the body of John Morrow, 56-year-old rural mail carrier, one of three Kalispell fishermen who apparently drowned in nearby Flathead lake Saturday.
Sheriff Dick Walsh said the other two men believed drowned are Morrow's 23-year-old son, Elvin, and Morrow's nephew, Clarence Rhodes, about 24.
Darkness halted the search late yesterday after Morrow's body was found, but it was resumed at day-break today.
Walsh said the three men left here Saturday morning for the lake, about 15 miles away. Their families called Walsh when the fishermen failed to return home that night.
Their overturned boat was found near the mouth of the Flathead river, which empties into the north end of the 43-mile-long lake.
