Thomas Kevin True of Holcomb was born July 9, 1961 to the late Tom Albert and Helen Jean Rainey True in Kennett, MO. He passed from this life to his eternal home December 10, 2016 at Baptist Hospital, Memphis, TN.

Kevin was a quiet man who was quite a man, Everyone he met, he touched them in some way and his legacy will live on for years and years to come. The most important things in his life and heart were Christ/church, family, friends, the Holcomb community/school, Memphis Tiger basketball and the St. Louis Cardinals.

In 1983, he graduated from Arkansas State University and moved to Memphis to begin a career in audit accounting at Blue Cross Blue Shield. He then worked for a few years at Baptist Hospitals and then back to BCBS where he remained until 2002.

Kevin was always involved in church and grew up serving God. This was evident through his service to The Open Door Church, Freedom House, General Baptist Association and Camp Allen.

After moving back to his hometown, Holcomb, MO. following the death of his father, he then became active in many community activities including the Holcomb School and the Holcomb Alumni Association.

He is survived by his two aunts, Laverne Vaughn of Piggott, AR. and Jonelle Holdner of Poplar Bluff, MO. his cousins Beth Golden (Kathy),Susan Berntzen (Erik & Jonathan), Kim Jaques, Sharon Bellers (Dennis, Clint and Dustin), Jacky Morgan (Mark, Emily & Eric), Jimmy True (Julie & Parker), Donnie Patterson (Nannette & Keith), Dennis Patterson (Amy), and Michael Kerr (Jeanetta and Wendy).

He will be greatly missed by special friends: Deana, Tony, Macy and Dustin (Khali Willis) Houart: Scottie Henson-Landess and Paul Wright, Matt and Becky Winters: Kevin, Susan, Cameron and Courtney Morris: Stan, Nola, Myles and Makailey Piland, Drew, Krystal, Conner and Landry Joyce: the Memphis Tiger Rebounders, Holcomb Athletics and other relatives and many friends too numerous to mention.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Henry and Lou Jewel True and Elmer Owen and Rosa Mae Rainey, his uncles, J.C., Chester and Jim True: his aunts Nadine Patterson, Wilma Kerr, Betty Lou True, Shelby Jean McCallister and June Pelts.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 14, 2016 5-9 PM at McDaniel Funeral Service, Kennett, MO. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the McDaniel Chapel in Kennett with Reverend Kenny Burns, Reverend Kevin Morris and Reverend Josh Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow in Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton, MO.

Honored to serve as pallbearers: Jimmy True, Jonathan Berntzen, Clint Bellers, Dustin Bellers, Terry Don Weaver, Drew Joyce, Stan Piland,Tony Houart, Matt Winters and Dustin Houart.
