William is survived by his wife, Judy; his children, Paula J Spriggs Nezezon of Massena and Jeffrey Allen Spriggs of Massena; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; a brother Lawrence G Spriggs of Ft. Myers, FL. He is predeceased by a daughter Pamela J Spriggs LaJeunesse in 1984; a sister, Alice Jean Spriggs Montana Smith in 2014 and a brother, Arthur J Spriggs in 1989. William was born on Nov 18, 1925 in Ogdensburg, son ofJoseph G and Gertrude A Countryman Spriggs. He graduated from OFA and later attended Canton ATC and graduated from Syracuse University with a Masters degree in Public Administration. Mr. Spriggs entered the USA in 1943 where he obtained the rank of Staff Sergeant in the 83rd Infantry Div. He was honorably discharged in 1945. William married Judith on Dec 15, 1974 in Massena. He worked for Army Corps. of Engineers for the St. Lawrence Seaway while being built and later for the Ogdensburg Bridge and Port Authority. William was a member of the Massena Masonic Lodge; Massena VFW and 83rd Infantry Association.
