Adelia Ann Megginson McDew, aka DeeDee, 77, quietly passed away at her residence in Lynchburg, Va. on Sunday, December 11, 2016.
DeeDee is survived by her daughter, DeVonne Robertson (Luther); her grandson, Maurice Robertson; her brother, Donald Megginson, Sr., (Joyce); nephew, Donald Megginson, Jr., (Beneka); devoted cousins, Eugene Tweedy, Linwood Harris, and Letitia Murphy; two close friends of the family, Patricia Holliman and George Hopkins, who all helped care for, and provided assistance to DeeDee during her illness; grandnieces and grandnephews who she loved dearly, and a host of many other family and friends.
The family is receiving friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2016, at Community Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, December 17, 2016, at Immanuel Christian Church, 1018 Rivermont Ave, Lynchburg, VA 24504, with the Reverend Dr. Mack Johnson, Sr., officiating. Interment will be held at the Forest Hill Cemetery. Her remains will be open to the public one hour prior to the service at the church. Condolences may be emailed to [email protected]
