Henry was also known on occasion as Harold or by the nick name "Hank." Henry was born in Peterborough Ontario, the son of Miles Louis Henry 1868(Peterborough) - 1913(Peterborough). His mother was Irene Elizabeth Kelly Henry 1872 born Chicago, Illinois - 1941(Peterborough). The Henrys arrived in Canada from County Sligo in what is now the Republic of Ireland. They lived in Toronto until 1831 and then moved to Peterborough. Henry arrived in Buffalo NY as an immigrant on 19 October 1925. He was heading to join his brother Leo Henry who had already immigrated and lived at 8 Lovering Ave., Buffalo NY. On his US immigration form, he indicated he was an accountant and was looking for a job. A year later, his wife, Madeline joined him in 1926. Their son Richard J. Henry was born 09 May 1927 in Buffalo. Later Joan and Judy were born. In both the 1930 and 1940 Census of New York state, Henry was listed as an accountant with a motor car company. By the time of the 1950 Census, Henry was the vice-president and business manager of an Oldsmobile Dealership in Rochester NY. He worked 48 hours/week. His son Dick worked 40 hours/week at the dealership as an automobile salesman. Daughter, Judy, worked 20 hours/week as a general office worker. When the Henrys came to Whitby to visit family, they always drove a huge car. The automatic windows in one of these cars fascinated a certain great nephew, who pushed the button to watch the windows go up and down. Henry was a very quiet man and was very young when he left this world.
