Specialist Five Robert Allen Brown was a casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Army, SP5 Brown served our country until March 19th, 1970 in Bing Long, South Vietnam. He was 22 years old and was not married. It was reported that Robert died from unknown causes. His body was recovered. SP5 Brown is on panel 12W, line 020 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for 2 years.
Robert was in the hospital bed next to me in Japan. His Father Hosea talked to me often. Robert was a great guy and soldier. I think of him often. Walter Howard

He was awarded The Bronze Star Medal, The Purple Heart Medal for his combat related wounds, The Vietnam Service Medal, The Republic of Vietnam Campaign Service Medal, The National Defense Service Medal and The Good Conduct Medal.
