Born in Duluth, Minn., Mr. Aaberg lived in Wildomar 14 years.
He served in the U.S. Navy for 22 years until he retired as a Chief Petty Officer (CPO). He served in the Navy Reserves.
He was a member of the the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion Post 201, both in Wildomar.
Mr. Aaberg is survived by his wife of 28 years, Dee; four daughters, Kandy of Buena Park, Cathy Overstreet of Bloomington, Karen Overman of Desert Center and Sharon Adams of Graeagle; a son, Charles Williams of Rainbow; six grandchildren; and a brother, Marvin of Beverly Hills, Fla.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1508 in Wildomar.
Burial will be in Riverside National Cemetery.
