Former resident succumbs in California
Funeral services were held in Dunaway Douglass Mortuary in Redondo Beach, California for Cecil Albert Gardiner, who died at his home of a heart attack October 4.
He is survived by his widow, Veda Ruby Endicott Gardiner of Redondo Beach; one son, Gerald Lee of Bartow, California; and Mrs. Ronald (Enid) Loyd of Hawthorne, California. One child, Betty Jo, died in infancy.
Other survivors are five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, two brothers and one sister, William Gardiner, Jr., Vernal and Brian Golden of Hawthorne, California; Mrs. Arthur (Ruth) Harrison of Vernal.
He was born in Vernal September 9, 1906 to William John Gardiner and Amy Ann Collier Gardiner. He married September 10, 1929 in Vernal.
