Daytona Beach, FL - Adam Anthony Monti, Jr., 54, died on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center following a brief illness.
He was born on August 9, 1962 at 8:01 a.m. in Peekskill, NY to the late Lorraine Rose (Anger) Monti and the late Adam A. Monti, Sr.
Adam grew up in Lake Peekskill until the age of 10, a place he held dear in his heart. He moved to Dutchess County and lived in Fishkill, NY where he spent the next 16 years, living the best teenage years enjoying the family & friends that surrounded his life. This is where he met and married his former wife, Tammy (Green) Monti and had two beautiful daughters, his life's blessings, Mellissa Marie and Jessica Lynn, whom he left behind but will love them always and forever.
Adam also leaves behind three sisters and their families: Robin Monti Tempestilli & her husband Frank of Hopewell Junction, Kim Monti Buckley & her husband James of Fishkill, and Lorri Monti Short & her husband Jeff of Severn, MD. He was predeceased by his brother Scott A. Monti. Adam had many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews whom he loved with all his heart.
He lived in Highland, NY before moving to Florida where he became a "summer boy" and loved every minute of living in Ormond Beach and Daytona Beach area. Adam was a retail manager for Hammets Learning World for 20 years in Dutchess County and made family with all he worked with. After moving to Florida he owned a retail store before becoming management at C.V.S. in Ormond Beach and Daytona areas, where he also made family bonds with the crews he worked with in Ormond. Adam loved to make people laugh and smile and much more wanted them to know he cared and loved them. His biggest accomplishment and pride and joy are his daughters, who know he will be their Guardian Angel for always & forever.
Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, October 17 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 18. Interment will follow at Fishkill Rural Cemetery, where Adam will be buried close to his mother, father, godmother, and other family & friends who are already at rest. He will be home with the ones he loved best in this world and will now walk beside them into Heaven's door with the wind beneath his wings.
