Virgie "Pearl" Hunnel, 86, of Fort Collins, Colo., Died April 10 at the Columbine Care Center East in Fort Collins.

She was born March 27, 1913, in Hillsdale to Byron and Mable Beaver.

Mrs. Hunnel was a certified nursing assistant and worked in numerous hospitals including in Cheyenne. She also worked as a personal home care provider.

She married Harold Hunnel in 1929.

She is survived by two daughters, Mable White of Loveland, Colo., and Hildred Edmonds of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sons, Larold Hunnel of Gresham, Ore., and Darold Hunnel of Cheyenne; brothers, Buford Beaver of Chugwater and Winford Beaver of Hudson; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchilden and great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Hunnel was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, two sisters, a daughter, two sons, Buford and Herbert Hunnel; and three grandchildren.

Interment was at Lakeview Cemetery in Cheyenne, Wyo. Pearl Beaver was born March 27, 1913, in Hillsdale, Wyo., to Byron Beaver and Mable Kirkpatrick Beaver. She married Harold Hunnel in 1929. After they separated, Mrs. Hunnel became a certified nursing assistant and worked at hospitals in Cheyenne Providence, R.I. and Denver. After retiring from Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Denver, she worked as a private home care provider in Oregon and Washington. Survivors include two daughters, Mable White of Loveland and Hildred Edmonds of Colorado Springs two sons, Larold Hunnel of Gresham, Ore., and Darold Hunnel of Cheyenne two brothers, Winford Beaver of Hudson, Wyo., and Buford Beaver and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral was held in Loveland, Colo., for Virgie "Pearl" Hunnel, who died April 10, 1999, at age 86.
Mrs. Hunnel was born March 27, 1913, in Hillsdale, Wyo. Her maiden name was Beaver. She was a certified nursing assistant in Denver before living in Oregon City and Gladstone, where she was a private home care provider. For the past five years, she lived in Peyton, Colo. In 1929, she married Harold H.; they divorced in 1950. Survivors include her daughters, Mable White of Loveland and Hildred Edmonds of Peyton; sons, Larold of Gresham and Darold of Cheyenne, Wyo.; brothers, Buford Beaver of Chugwater, Wyo., and Winfred Beaver of Hudson, Wyo.; many grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Her sons Dean and Herbert died earlier, and her daughter Harleen died in infancy. Interment was in Lakeview Cemetery in Cheyenne. Arrangements were by Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home in Loveland.
