PORT SAINT LUCIE, Fla. — Mary Elizabeth Rowe, 93, of Port Saint Lucie, Fla., formerly of McAndrews, Ky., passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at Emerald Healthcare at Port Saint Lucie Florida.
Born September 2, 1923, Pinsonfork, Ky per family bible.
She was a daughter the late Murley and Beulah Mae Coley Byrge.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carol D. Rowe; her only son, Larry Wayne Rowe, and daughter-in-law, Connie Williams Rowe; brothers: Earl, Curtis, James and Clyde Byrge; and sisters: Nadine Byrge Jones and Geraldine (Gerry) Byrge Clemons.
She was a member of Stone Baptist Church and was a devout Christian with unwavering faith and love for Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. She was always cheerful and you never went hungry at her house. She was a caregiver in every aspect.
Survivors include her grandson, Larry Wayne II (Shannon) Rowe of Port Saint Lucie; granddaughter, Stephanie (Tracy) Rowe-McCoy of Branchland, W.Va.; great-grandchildren: Larry Wayne Rowe III, Sara Elizabeth Rowe, Kiley Shea McCoy and Ainsley Sierra McCoy; brother, Murley L. Byrge of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania; sisters: Beulah Byrge Rowe of Zephyr Hills, Fla., and Lucille Byrge Todd of Chesapeake, Va.; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, at R.E. Rogers Funeral Home with Rev. Shane Ward officiating. Entombment to follow at Mountain View Memory Gardens at Huddy, Ky.
Visitation will be from noon-1 p.m. at the funeral home.
