He was born in Fort Lauderdale and lived in Palatka for the past 17 years. He was a retired certified mechanic and worked as a handyman, specializing in home repairs. He enjoyed fishing and watching movies and loved doing handyman work around the house. He also enjoyed singing and listening to 1970s and 1980s rock and roll. He had attended First Assembly of God Church in Palatka.

Inurnment will be at a later date in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Fort Lauderdale.
