An undated newspaper article, probably from The Indianapolis News, has a photo of a man holding a broom. It is Charles Klipsch, Rev. Charles Moore Klipsch, about whom the caption reads "... who makes brooms when he is not preaching the gospel, took Governor-elect Paul McNutt at his word when he told an audience ... that if the people saw fit to elect him Governor, he would sweep the Statehouse clean. The Rev. Mr Klipsch has just completed a large home-made broom, which he is forwarding to the Governor-elect with a request that McNutt use his broom when he starts in 'cleaning out' the Statehouse."
Note: the parents of Charles Moore Klipsch are William Linke Klipsch, 1839-1911, and Rachel Hendrickson, 1844-1871. The parents are buried in Liberty Cemetery, Clifford, Bartholomew, Indiana
