Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Collier-Butler Chapel for Mrs. Adie Bell Johnson Bazemore, 83, Hokes Bluff, who died Sunday, April 25, 2004. The Rev. Mark Gidley will officiate. Burial in Hokes Bluff Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral Home is in charge.

Mrs. Bazemore was a native of Coosa County and a resident of Gadsden for 54 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hokes Bluff and a graduate of Rockford High School. She retired from Hokes Bluff Drug Store as bookkeeper with 21 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, H.F. Bazemore Sr.; and son, Harvey F. Bazemore Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Joan Gidley and husband, Jim; daughter-in-law, Jeannie Bazemore; sister, Virginia Wilkins; grandchildren, Kent (KaKa) Gidley, Wendy (Todd) Ward, Jarrod (Holly) Bazemore and Joanna (Blake) Johnson; great-grandchildren, M'Kay and K'Ten Gidley, Jackson Bazemore and Sidney Johnson; sisters-in-law, Vivian Porter and Virgie Thompson; many special nieces and nephews; and special friends, Joy Morris, Lois and W.F. Duncan, Ruth Long and members of the Dorcas Sunday school class.
