Robert is buried close to the graves of his in-laws Samuel and May Norris. He is buried without a headstone.

Robert H. L. Reed, 44, 2181/2 E. Gilbert St., Center Township constable, died at his home, following and illness of two weeks. Mr. Reed was a native of Indianapolis but had lived in Muncie most of his life. He was the son of Opie and Garnet Reed.
An Active member in Democratic politics, he served several years as a Democrat voting machine custodian and was elected constable two years ago. He was a member of the Methodist Church, musician’s union and bartender’s union.
He is survived by his wife, Jane; a son, Robert L., Muncie; his father Opie Reed, McCulloch Park supervisor and special events superintendent of the city Parks and Recreation Department; and two step sons, Jerry Conn, Muncie and Marvin Conn, stationed in Hawaii.
Funeral arrangements are pending at the Stephens Funeral Home.

Funeral Services for Robert H. L. Reed, 44, 2181/2 E. Gilbert St., who died Wednesday at his home, will be held at 2 p.m. at the Main Street Methodist Church with the Rev. James Willyard officiating. Burial will be in Salamonia Cemetery near Portland. Friends may call at the Stephens Funeral Home after 7:30 p.m. Friday at the church one hour before the service.
