Niles - Erma A. Morris, 99, 1500 McKinley Ave., died Monday at 7:50 a.m. in Shepherd of the Valley Nursing Home. She was born July 4, 1894, in Lordstown, a daughter of David D. and Minnie Beal Quinby. She had lived in Niles since 1981, coming from Lordstown. Mrs. Morris was a descendant of Ephraim Quinby, one of the first families to settle in Warren. A homemaker, Mrs. Morris was a member of Lordstown Christian Church, and the Order of Eastern Star Leading Chapter 79 in Newton Falls since 1922. She had enjoyed crocheting and reading. Her husband, Charles Morris, whom she married May 18, 1921, died March 5, 1967. She leaves a son, Charles Willard {Morris} of Savannah, Ga.; two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Helen) Zenar of Randolph and Mrs. Ralph (Betty) Cory of Cortland; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. The funeral is 1 p.m. Thursday at Shafer-Winans Funeral Home in Cortland, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Lordstown Cemetery.
