Services for Edgar A. Gant, 62, of Rt. 2, Rudy Rd., who died Tuesday in Lee Memorial Hospital, will be held at 3 pm Thursday in the Groner-Lyon Funeral Home. Rev. Floyd Brenneman, pastor of the North Wayne Mennonite Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the South Wayne Cemetery. Friends may call today in the funeral home.
He was born on April 5, 1911, in Ober, Ind., and lived in Dowagiac for the past 17 years. He married the former Mary Frazier on Oct. 10, 1933 in Mishawaka. She survives along with six sons, Edgar Jr., Robert, and John all of Dowagiac, Edward of Osceola, James of Riverside, Mich., and William in Germany; seven daughters, Mrs. Judy Moore, Mrs. Betty Confer, both of Dowagiac, Mrs. Ruth Potter of Vandalia, Mrs. Nancy Perkins of Niles, Mrs. Beverly Strange of South Bend, Mrs. Marilyn Gant of Cassopolis, and Miss Carolyn Gant of Saginaw, 35 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and a brother Earl of Bristol.
