Steven J. Fields of Eugene died Dec. 2 of cancer. He was 47.
Fields was born July 9, 1957, in Eugene to William and Nola McCool Fields.
A graduate of South Eugene High School, he worked in a plywood mill.
He enjoyed fishing, hiking and the outdoors.
Survivors include his parents; and a brother Ron, of Springfield.
A sister, Tami Frank, died in 2002.
No service is planned. Chapel of Memories Funeral Home in Eugene is in charge of arrangements.
