Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the farm home
and at 2 p.m. at the St. John Evangelical Lutheran church in Newtonburg.
The Rev. F. C. Knueppel will officiate with burial in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Carstens, nee Lisette Ahlers, was born in Newton in 1860 and was married to John Carstens in 1883. They operated the Carstens farm until it was taken over by their son, John Jr. Mr. Carstens died two years ago.
Survivors are a son, John Jr., on the home farm; daughter, Mrs. Leland Haupt of Manitowoc Rapids; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Two children preceded their mother in death.
