PIONEER OF NEWTON DEAT AT AGE OF 95
Carl Duvenik, (sic) Sr., pioneer settler of Newton and one of the oldest residents of Manitowoc county, died at the home of his son yesterday at the advanced age of 95 years. Decedent was born in Germany May 14, 1821, and came to America and direct to this county in 1872.
A peculiar coincident of Mr. Duevenik's death is that it occurred eight years to the day from the date of the death of his daughter, Mrs. Robert Naumann who passed away Feb. 15, 1908.
Five sons survive, Fred at Oconto, Carl and Alex, Newton, August, Two Rivers, and Ernst of Two Creeks.
