CARL FISCHER STRICKEN AT RAPIDS TODAY
After suffering from heart trouble Carl J. Fischer 70, passed away at his home at Manitowoc Rapids this morning. The deceased was a life long resident of Rapids and well known in the county.
He was born February 1860 at Rapids and on March 30, 1888 was married to Miss Bertha Spiegel who with three children, three sisters and a brother survive.
The deceased was very active in his work on the farm which he conducted until six months ago when he suffered from heart trouble. Funeral services will be held on Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the house and at 2:30 from the Lutheran church at Newton with Rev. Kionka officiating.
The survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Alfred Borgwardt this city, two sons, Henry of Alverno and Edwin at home, two brothers, William and August of Rapids and three sisters, Mrs. Carl Wilda, and Misses Minnie and Annie Fischer, all of Rapids.
The remains will be taken from the Urbanek and Wattawa chapel Saturday afternoon to the family home at Rapids.
