Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the St. John
Evangelical Lutheran church in Newtonburg, the Rev. Fred Knueppel
officiating.
Mr. Haupt was born in 1867 in Newton. He operated a farm until his
retirement three years ago. In 1894 he married Bertha Vogt. The
couple observed its golden wedding anniversary in 1944. Both were
life-long members of the Newtonburg church.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Krueger; seven sons, Leland and Milton of Manitowoc Rapids; Siegfried, Erhardt, Hilbert and Allen of Newton, and Myron of Manitowoc; 25 grandchildren and three great-grand-children; one brother Carl of Liberty.
The body may be viewed at the Pfeffer funeral home until 10 a.m.
Saturday when it will be moved to the church to lie in state until
the time of services.
