"Mrs Nora Harris, 87, of Corry, RD 1, died yesterday morning in her home after a
long illness. She was was born Oct 29, 1874, in the house where she spent her
entire life, with the exception of four years in Michigan. On Dec 10, 1900, she
married John D Harris and he died on March 22, 1953. Mrs Harris was the oldest
resident of Concord Township. She was a member of the former Concord Ridge
Methodist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs Carl (Eva) Smith of
Youngsville; and Mrs Lula Skiff of Corry, RD 1; four grandchildren; eleven
great-grandchildren. Friends may call....at the H Richard Hays Funeral Home in
Spartansburg and attend the funeral service there at 2 pm Sunday. Rev Lawrence
T Meneely, pastor of the Spartansburg Methodist Church, will officiate.
Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Spartansburg."
