The deceased was a native of Pommerania, Germany, where he was born July 31, 1842. He was married in 1870 and the couple came to America two years later. They first lived in the town of Herman, Sheboygan county and later removed to Sheboygan, where his wife died. For the past 17 years he was a resident of the town of Meeme.
The family consisted of four children, of whom three are still living, namely; one daughter at Sheboygan and one at Glenbeulah; and one son, near Erdman.
The funeral took place on Wednesday afternoon, interment being in the Eckelmann cemetery in the town of Herman. Rev. H. W. Schroer officiated.
