Lucian Adams, Greenwood, Dies

Greenwood - Lucian Adams, who had been in failing health for two years, died at his home, 239 Academy Street, Tuesday night.

Funeral services are being conducted in the Burkhart Funeral Home Friday morning at 10 o'clock with the Rev. Robert Marlett, pastor of the Greenwood Baptist Church, in charge of the services. Burial is to be in the cemetery at Greenwood with Masonic rites by Will F. Averitt, past master.

Friends may call at the funeral home at any time and are invited to attend the rites.

Born in 1888

Mr. Adams was born July 11, 1888, in Casey county, Ky., and was the son of the late Abraham and Sally Russell Adams.

He and Estella Yowell were married at Lebanon, Ky., on Oct. 15, 1910, and came to Greenwood for future residence. There were the parents of three children.

Mr. Adams was a machinist at the Stokely-VanCamp Packing Company plant at Greenwood.

Those who survive are a son, Carl T. Adams, of Fountaintown; two daughters, Mrs. Raymond Taylor and Mrs. Leonard Ross, of Greenwood; a grandson, Garry V. Taylor, of Greenwood; and a sister, Mrs. Annabel Ettenburn, of Indianapolis.

Mr. Adams was a member of the Greenwood Masonic Lodge.
