Albany - Wilfred Rex Pemberton 72, died Friday, November 27, 1987.

He was born in Langlois, Oregon. He attended Willamette University and graduated from Oregon State University in 1937.

He married Miss Mary Starbuck in Salem, Oregon's Saint Paul's Episcopal Church at 11 am, Monday morning, December 3, 1945.

He served in the Navy, and rose to the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade, he moved to Sweet Home, Oregon after his discharge.

In February 1965, Willamette Valley Lumber Company of Dallas, Oregon announced Rex's promotion. He was to assume responsibility of the entire logging and woods operation as general logging manager. (February 14, 1965 issue of The Oregonian of Portland, Oregon.)

They moved to Albany, Oregon in 1968.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; and his son, Tom.

No services are planned. Arraignment are by AAsum Mortuary. Contributions may be made to Benton County Hospice.
