Trevor was born on May 10, 1988 in Two Rivers to Lisa Petersen Stricklin and the late William L. Stricklin. He graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 2007 and continued his education at UW Manitowoc. Trevor had been employed at Cher-Make Sausage Company and Orion Energy Systems. He enjoyed being outdoors, watching the Green Bay Packers, and above all, spending time with his family and friends. Trevor was an avid reader and enjoyed going to the library. He was intelligent, contemplative and a deep thinker. Although Trevor was a quiet guy, he was passionate and always ready for a good debate. Trevor was loyal and looked out for the underdog and the people he loved. Even in most recent days with his own struggles, he was trying to help out friends in need.
Survivors include Trevor’s mother: Lisa Stricklin; two sisters: Wendy Stricklin, Courtney Stricklin and her special friend Jim Krajnik; grandmother: Joan Nelson; grandfather: Michael (Diane) Petersen; uncle: Tim Petersen; stepmother: Betsie Stricklin; all of Manitowoc; also other relatives and friends. Trevor was preceded in death by his father: William “Bill” Stricklin; uncle: Jeff Petersen; grandmothers: Edna Protsko and Bernadine Petersen; grandfathers: Gordon Nelson and Orval Stricklin; and great grandparents: Victor and Catherine Schaefer, and Vinton and Marjorie Petersen.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at The Salvation Army, 415 North 6th Street, Manitowoc with Lieutenants Jeff and Terri Olson officiating. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel.
