Kate L. Adams, 93, of Farmington, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Pierpont Center in Fairmont. She was born October 27, 1923 in Baltimore, Maryland, a daughter of the late Frank and Bessie Ann (Scruggs) Johnson, Sr.
Kate was a homemaker who loved cooking and gardening. She was a member of the former Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
Survivors include a granddaughter: Leslie Roseboro of Lawrenceville, Georgia; a great grandson: Jordaan Rodgers of Georgia; a brother: Frank (Laverne) Johnson, Jr. of Toledo, Ohio; a sister: Marion Lockett of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Kate was preceded in death by her husband Reese Adams on February 2, 1976;, a daughter: Juanita Roseboro; and 4 siblings: Beatrice, Vernon, Tyrone, and Alverta Johnson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at the Hutson Funeral Home in Farmington at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Wesley Dobbs officiating. Interment will follow at the IOOF cemetery in Enterprise, WV.
