Ruth Evelyn Mueller, age 77, of 3011 Monroe St., Two Rivers, died Monday
evening, October 4, 1999, at Two Rivers Community Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 7, 1999, at
Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of
Christian Burial will be Rev. William G. O'Brien with burial to follow
at Pioneer Rest Cemetery, Two Rivers.
She was born July 25, 1922, in Lynden Station, Wis., daughter of the
late Daniel and Mary Chesmore Finnegan. She was a graduate of Wisconsin
Dells High School. During World War II she held the position of
Floorlady in the Rocket Propellants for Badger Ordinance in Baraboo,
Wis. There she met Floyd Mueller who she married on February 2, 1946, at
St. Margarets Church, Wisconsin Dells. Together they raised four
children and have enjoyed their seven grandchildren. Floyd and Ruth
enjoyed traveling, having been to many parts of the United States,
Canada and Europe. They enjoyed cruises and often vacationed during the
winters in Florida. When not traveling, they enjoyed the theatre as
member of the Masquers, Capitol Civic Centre and the Wiedner Centre.
Ruth was a long time volunteer at Two Rivers Hospital, the Hamilton
Memorial Home and Shady Lane Nursing Care Center. Together the couple
lended their assistance to the Manitowoc County Historical Museum. In
her spare time, Ruth enjoyed gardening, she was an excellent home
manager, cook, and devoted mother. She was totally dedicated to her
family and enjoyed life.
Survivors include her husband, Floyd; three daughters and sons-in-law,
Virginia and Richard Goebel, Rolling Meadows, Ill., Judith and Patrick
Mayo, Oshkosh, Patricia and Scott Carey, Glen Ellyn, Ill.; one son and
daughter-in-law, Floyd (Fritz) and Karla Mueller, Toma, Wis.; seven
grandchildren, Carrie and Sara Mueller, Timothy Goebel, Peter Mayo,
Heather Mayo, Ashley and Brittany Carey; one sister, Leone (Mainert)
Anderson, Wisconsin Dells; a number of neices and nephews also survive.
Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters and two
brothers.
Friends may call at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers from
6-8 p.m. Wednesday (TONIGHT). There will be no Thursday morning
visitation. Please meet at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church for the Mass at
10 a.m. Thursday.
