She was the daughter of Joseph and Mary Gagliano.
Josephine was a homemaker, and enjoyed playing golf.
She was also an avid reader. She was a member of the St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.
She is survived by three sons, Donald G. Acquaviva Jr. of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Carl J. Acquaviva of Butler and Patrick J. Acquaviva and his wife, Patty, of Butler; one daughter, Apryle Acquaviva of Butler; and one brother, James Gagliano and his wife, Rose, of Bessemer, Pa. She also is survived by 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald G. "Dan" Acquaviva Sr., who passed away Oct. 23, 2005; three brothers, and five sisters.
Visitation at the Martin Funeral Home Inc., 429 Center Ave., Butler.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.
Burial will take place in St. Michael's Cemetery.
