William Edward Malone, aged 24, 408 Main St., Niagara, died at 9 o'clock last night [March 13, 1940] in the Bellin Memorial Hospital at Green Bay, following an illness [probable spinal meningitis] of the last two weeks. He was born October 17, 1915, in Lacona Co., Iowa, and was employed for the past three years at the Kimberly-Clark paper mill in Niagara. Besides his widow Adeline, one daughter, Maureen Caroline Malone, survives. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Malone, reside in Niagara. There are two sisters, Mrs. Harold Jones, of Neenah, and Mrs. Lyle Kallenbach, of Niagara. The body will remain at the Freeman Funeral Home in Iron Mountain until 4 o'clock tomorrow afternoon, when it will be removed to the home of his parents in Niagara. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Union Protestant Church in Niagara. The Rev. H. Illingsworth will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Niagara Cemetery.
