Beverly Ann Heeney, aged 82, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2015 at her home of 50 years in Sunnyvale, after a long struggle with Alzheimer's. Bev was born December 12, 1932, in Albany, New York, the daughter of Ray and Gertrude Sigwarth. She graduated from Albany Memorial Hospital in 1953 with a degree in nursing.
In 1961, Bev married Jim Heeney in San Diego, California. They soon moved to Sunnyvale where he worked as an engineer at Lockheed for 37 years and she worked as a registered nurse at El Camino Hospital for 25 years.
Bev was an avid golfer and was a member of Deep Cliff and Spring Valley women's clubs. She and her husband traveled abroad and enjoyed enduring friendships from their travels. Together they raised three children, these being Lori, Jackie, and James, Jr. and had one grandchild, Connor. All of their children graduated from college and went on to successful careers and marriages.
