Funeral services for Louis Last 78, who died Wednesday afternoon in his home following an extended illness, where held at 1:30 Saturday in St. Paul's Lutheran church. The Ref. Eric V. Oelschlaeger officiated and burial was in Winnebago cemetery. Mr. Last was born March 13, 1872 in Two Rivers, Wish., the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Last. He married the former Caroline Krase, Feb. 5, 1898 in Beloit and the couple farmed for a number of years near Seward. They retired two years ago after farming for 21 years southwest of Winnebago. Surviving in addition to his widow are a son, Orville, at home: a granddaughter, Mrs. Pauline Krouse, who formerly lived with the Lasts; a sister Mrs. John Myers, Two Rivers, Wish., and several nieces and nephews. A son and daughter died previously.
