Floyd served our Country during World WarII. He received the Silver Star for his actions in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a Grocer, manager for the IGA stores for over 30 years. Floyd was good with hand tools and had many ideas to improve his life and surroundings. As a youngster, he had a small potato chip business. (Peeling, frying and packaging his potatoes into chips-which he sold door-to-door.)
Floyd was small in stature (a good quality for a tank commander) but big in heart. He smiled and chuckled during a conversation. A very caring and thoughtful person indeed.
