Death in Town Newton on Monday of Friedrich Hoeffner from old age debility.
The deceased can be counted among the few old settlers of Town Newton who
had resided there so many years. He was 87 and leaves several children.

Frederick Hoefner, an old settler of Newton, died Monday morning, aged 87 years.
Four children survive him. They are William and Henry of Newton, Mrs. Wallschlager
of this city and Mrs. Broemer of Two Rivers. The funeral will be held Friday.

Newton Pioneer is Dead
Frederick Hoefner, a well known pioneer of Newton, died early today from
infirmities incident to advanced age, decedent being 87 at the time of his
death. Mr. Hoefner was an early day pioneer of the county and had resided on
a farm in Newton for many years. His wife died some years ago and a family
of children survive.
