Mr. Jacob E. Ruh, 78, of 24 N. Hiawatha Circle, Sheboygan, died Monday, September 30, 1991, at the Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.
He was born May 2, 1913, in New Holstein, son of the late John H. and Mary Schnuell Ruh. He attended District school in Cedar Lake, a graduate of Kiel High School and Manitowoc County Normal School. He then held teaching positions in Newtonburg and Millhome, drove truck for Haupt Milk Transit of Manitwoc and then was employed at Tecumseh for fifteen years retiring in 1980. In 1934 he married Lorena Brocker of Kiel. On May 24, 1980, he married Bernadine Prodzinski of Sheboygan.
Jacob is survived by his wife, Bernadine; four sons, Dennis Ruh and Darrell Ruh of Green Bay, Terry Ruh of Milwaukee and Daniel Ruh of Manitowoc; three daughters, mrs. Paul (Janice) Burkhart of Rochester, Minn., Mardell Meyer of Manitwoc, Mrs. Joseph Jolene Thibeaduea of Appleton; fifteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two step-daughters, Diane Bazan and Nancy Yost of Sheboygan; a step son, Michael Kenitz of Monona, Wis.; seven step-grandchildren; two brothers, Otto Ruh of Elkhart Lake and John Ruh of Brillion. He was preceded in death by two children, a sister and two brothers.
Private family memorial services will be held October 12, 1991, at 9 a.m. at the St. John Church in Newtonburg. Rev. Tim Ehlers, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
