Robert Lee Leadbetter, 76, of Delaware, passed away Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017 at Arbors of Delaware following an extended illness.

He was born on Dec. 2, 1940 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Arthur B. and Hazel (Strome) Leadbetter.

Robert served in the United States Army from 1963-1965 and was a blacktop inspector for the State of Ohio Department of Transportation. Robert's life centered on his family and he also volunteered at the Andrews House.

He is survived by his beloved and dedicated wife of almost 50 years, Luanna (Williams); son, Jeffrey and his wife Stacy of Lexington; grandchildren, Brennan, Kaleigh, and Alexis.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Martha; and a brother, Charles.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017 at noon at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Drive (formerly 1510 W. William St.), Delaware. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow in Cheshire Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution can be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
