Nina I. Riggs, 93, 310 West 5th St., Cle Elum, died Saturday at Pine Crest Convalescence Center in Cle Elum where she had lived since 1973. She was born in Yakima on July 18, 1886, a daughter of the late George and Myra Bland.

She and Seth Riggs were married in Ellensburg on November 22, 1908 and lived in the Ellensburg area until 1925 when they moved to Cabin Creek. They moved to Cle Elum in 1945. Mrs. Riggs was active in Sunday School work in the Cabin Creek area and attended the Church of the Nazarene in Cle Elum.

Survivors include one son, Dwane Riggs of Tunwater; a daughter, Mrs. Erva Christian of Cle Elum; four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Mr. Riggs preceded her in death on June 21, 1955. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Evenson Chapel with the Rev. Mylo Solmeier officiating. Burial will follow at the Thorp Cemetery.
