Georgia E. Snowden, 89, of Camden, OH, died Thursday, January 12, 2017 at the Atrium Medical Center. Born on July 18, 1927 in Demopolis, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late James and Lillie Belle (Abston) English. Georgia retired in 1990 from Square D. in Oxford, OH. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Camden where she was active in many areas. She loved to garden with flowers and feed the animals. Preceded in death by her Husband: James E. Snowden in 1969; Son: Carl T. Snowden in 1960; Grandsons: Tommy A. Withrow and Sean P. Dougherty; Infant Sister; Brothers: William and Dan English; Son-in-law: Roy C. Edwards.
Survived by her Children: Jeanie Cupp, Sylvia (Arthur) Bleill, Ruby A. (Gary) Peck, Katherine “Kathy” (Bill) Hensley, Carolyn “Tina” Edwards, James E. (Cheryl Ann) Snowden, Jr., Charles L. (Karen Sue) Snowden and Paul E. Snowden; Brother: James English; Sister-in-law: Bobbie English; 17 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild, Nieces and Nephews. Special four legged companion: Mitzie.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the First Southern Baptist Church, 35 N. Liberty St., Camden, OH with Dr. Greg F. Jackson officiating. Interment will be held in Fairmount Cemetery in Camden. Family will receive friends on Monday, January 16, 2017 from 4 – 7 P.M. at the church and one hour prior to service on Tuesday.
