Herman A. Beuch, of New Prague, formerly of Lydia, was 98 years of age when he peacefully passed away, at his home. Preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Anna (Zaudtke) Beuch; grandson, Jason Beuch #48048106; siblings, Eric Beuch, Martha Bussman, Lillian Klotz, Erna Fehlandt, Frederick Beuch, Julius Beuch, and Alice Busch.

He met his future wife, Virginia at Bussman’s General Store in Lydia. They married May 20, 1948, at St. Patrick’s Church in St. Patrick, MN. Shortly after, they moved onto Virginia’s home place outside of Lydia, in Cedar Lake Township. They continued to live there until 2006 when they then moved to New Prague. Even though farming and working a variety of jobs, they raised ten children. Herman and Virginia led by example to instill a hard-working ethic into their children. Herman had a variety of jobs, working at the Lydia Feed Mill, Bryan Rock, and driving cement truck for Prior Lake-Savage Ready Mix. He was an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Prior Lake, serving as an usher for many years.
