Doris was born on a farm in Stoney Point, Canada, the oldest of 11 siblings. She later immigrated to the US and owned her own hair salon in Detroit beginning around the mid 1930's.


First husband James William "Bill" White: Jan 17, 1904 - May 13, 1952. Married Nov 21, 1935 .

Bill was born in St John, New Brunswick, Canada and died in Detroit, MI. Parents were Ernest and Sarah Murphy White.


Second husband, Robert Mason Jolly was born in Scotland. They were married from 1955 - 1966, when Bob passed away while on vacation in Grand Prairie, TX.


Third, her companion, Joseph M Broderick

5-30-1919 - 7-22-1994. Together - sometime early to mid 1980's - 1994. They lived in the cottage on the shore of Lake Erie and wintered in Boyton Beach, Florida, where he passed away in 1994.


Doris continued living in her cottage on the shore of Lake Erie until the year before she passed away.
