James Robert “Jim” Wagner, 77, of Cherryhill Township, Indiana, died at his home, Tuesday, January 10, 2017. He was the husband of Sara Jane (Brown) Wagner for more than 57 years.

Jim was born January 17, 1939 in West Carroll Township, Cambria County. He was a son of the late Lewis and Mary (McCreary) Wagner.

He was a truck driver, having worked for Star Furniture in Indiana and Tonkin Lumber of Tanoma. He also worked for Indiana County Parks and Recreation.

Jim was a sports fan, who especially loved baseball. He was a fan of the Pirates and Steelers. He loved the outdoors, gardening and working in the yard.

He is survived by his wife, Sara Jane and the following children: James Hankinson (Vickie), of Warren; Robert Wagner (Katie), of Latrobe; Brenda Ratay (Jim), of Rochester Mills; Bonnie Helman (Randy), of Ernest; James Wagner (Sharon), of Clymer; and, Michelle Shedlock (Keven), of Clymer. Jim is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great Grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Barbara Cramer; and siblings Ruth Mitchell, Mary Louise Rice and Edward Wagner.

There will be no visitation or funeral service. Jim will be interred in Uniontown Cemetery.
