Raymond J. (Ray) Richard, 93, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2017 in Redondo Beach, CA. Ray was born on October 30, 1923 in Los Angeles, CA. Ray grew up in San Bernardino, CA and graduated from San Bernardino High School. Ray married Esther Sanchez in 1942, and they had four children. They have known each other since childhood.

Ray joined the Army Air Corps in 1942 and fought in World War II. After returning from the war in 1945, he joined Kaiser Steel in Fontana, CA, where he worked as a Machinist for 35 years, retiring in 1980. They moved from Rialto to Yucaipa, CA and resided there for 32 years.

Ray was preceded in death by his son Andrew. Ray is survived by his wife of 74 years, Esther Sanchez and three children, Kathleen (Brian) Rutt of Redondo Beach, CA, Steven (Danielle) Richard of Maple Valley, WA and Walter Richard of Banning, CA. He is also survived by six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
