Albert J. Jones, of 1149 N. Seventh St., died at 7:40 p.m., April 11, 1956, at the residence following an illness of three months. He was 53 years old.
Mr. Jones was born Jan. 16, 1903 in Springfield, son of the late Richard and Anna Jones.
He had always been a Springfield resident except for four years while employed by the Bulova Watch Co. in New York City.
At the time of his death, he was employed by the John W. Hobbs Co.
Mr. Jones was a member of the Holy Name society of St. Joseph's church and a member of the B.P.O.E.
Surviving are his wife, Etta; two sons, Richard and John Robert, both of Springfield; two sisters, Mrs. Cecil Grimms and Mrs. Irene Pelzer, both of Chicago; and a grandson, Kevin Jones, Springfield.
Services were at St. Joseph's church.
Burial was in Calvary cemetery.
