Delton Emmett Stowe, 95, passed away on January 13, 2017 at Roman Eagle Rehab Center. He was born on January 30, 1921, in Dry Fork, son of John B. Stowe and Hattie P. Stowe.
He served his country in the US Army as a Mess Sergeant. He fought in the European Campaign and participated in the D-Day Invasion.
he worked as a pipefitter well into his early eighties. He was president of his company, Stowe’s Fire Protection. He was a member of Third Avenue Christian Congregational Church.
He is survived his wife Jean M. Stowe; a son, Michael Stowe (Pat); a daughter, Sarracia Dalton (Ronald); three grandsons. He was also predeceased by a grandson, Matthew Stowe; a sister, Bernice Allen; six brothers, Earl, Shirley, Wade, Clyde, Julian, and Johnny Stowe.
Burial will be in Highland Burial Park.
