NAMPA — Graveside services for Mrs. May Elizabeth Sothern, 82, of Orofino, who died there Wednesday, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Kohlerlawn Cemetery by the Christian Science Church.

Mrs. Sothern was born March 17, 1890 at Bellevue, Idaho where she lived until she was 10. Then she moved to Silver City with her parents where she attended school and married Alfred "Appie" Sothern March 18, 1908. He preceded her in death on Feb. 5, 1947. She lived at Hart's Creek near Oreana, and also Mamouth Creek. After he died she resided in Long Beach, Calif. She had resided at Orofino since 1957. She was a member of Mother's Church of Christ Scientist in Boston, Mass.

She is survived by three sons, J.R. Sothern, Estacada, Ore., Alfred E. Sothern, Weippe, Ida., and Bruce S. Sothern, Minneapolis, Minn.; two daughters, Mrs. J.W. Nettleton, and Mrs. J.H. Crockett, both of Orofino; 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Alsip Funeral Chapel this evening until 9 and Friday from 8 a.m. until 1:45 p.m., at which time the cortege will leave the chapel.
