She was born November 8, 1949 in Memphis, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late Frederick William Peel, Jr. and Clarellen Popham Peel.
Fran attended and graduated from Caruthersville High School. She then attended Southeast Missouri State University before transferring to Arkansas State University. It was at ASU that she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
Fran loved the nursing profession. She worked at the Pemiscot Memorial Hospital, at the Caruthersville Nursing Home and then found her passion working as a traveling nurse. Most of her traveling nurse jobs took her to the western United States. Many of these jobs were on Indian Reservations. She was not only did nursing work but also taught basic life skills.
In addition to her nursing work, Fran had many hobbies. One of them was baking which she shared with many people.She was a very avid reader and loved to travel. She also loved Chihuahua dogs of which she had several.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her brother, Frederick William Peel III, and his wife Valerie of England, a very special friend, Barbara Busby of Caruthersville, MO, other relatives and many, many friends.
Memorial services were held Monday, January 16, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Jaroslaw Skryzpok officiating.
