Esther M. Dushek, a Manitowoc resident, entered eternal life on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Esther was born April 18, 1918 in Two Rivers. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Jakowicz Michalkiewicz. Esther attended Washington High School in Two Rivers. On January 28, 1939 she married Francis "Duke" Dushek at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on December 15, 1978. Esther dated Gene Autry in earlier years while living in Two Rivers. She was known for her custom sewing in the Manitowoc and Two Rivers area.
She is survived by two children: Charles (Lynne) Dushek, Neenah; Carol Moller, Manitowoc; four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, numerous great great grandchildren, along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph and Mary Michalkiewicz; husband: Francis "Duke" Dushek; one son-in-law: Raymond Moller; one brother, one sister, two grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, January 13, 2017 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home with Deacon Alan Boeldt officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.
