Pearl B. Pingleton, age 103, of Coquille, passed away on Monday January 9, 2017 at Country Gardens – a caring senior residence in Coquille, Oregon.
Pearl was born in Lynden, Washington on September 27, 1913 to William and Elizabeth Tennant. Her father called her “Topsie” as a child and she sometimes accompanied him on the piano as he played his violin.  Pearl loved music throughout her life and continued to play by ear:  her organ/keyboards, accordion, and the piano.
Pearl married her husband Henry L. Pingleton in 1945 and during their 61 years together they built their own home and owned several rental properties in Coquille. She greatly enjoyed gardening in her yard, taking photos with her camera, listening to music, and spending time with her family.
Left to honor and lovingly remember her, Pearl is survived by four children and their spouses, Sharon & Dave Sturdivant of Coquille, Tom & Darlene Pingleton of Winston,   Mary & Gerald Aasen of Myrtle  Point, and Bob & Grace Pingleton of Newberry, South Carolina.  13 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Henry L. Pingleton, daughter Mona Wilcox,  sisters Susan Steele, Edith Riddle, Nellie Campbell, Mildred Spooner, Hattie Waters, and Rose Abell, brothers Roy Tennant, Guy Tennant, and Robert Tennant.
